Keying or chroma keying is a production technique in which a specific color hue or chroma (typiclally blue or green) is removed from a video scene and replaced or keyed with a different image. In short, it is the technique in which, television, film, or video producers use advanced computer technology to superimpose their subject into any number of different virtual backgrounds. Chroma Key fabrics are also referred to as blue screens or green screens and come in different finishes depending on your use, with digital chroma key fabrics being slightly more reflective than standard chroma key fabrics. Shop our chroma key fabrics below, call us at 866-431-2201 or email us if you are looking for a custom green screen build or installation for your studio or production.
